About Us

Buddy Gendrano is a product of the University of the Philippines who went to Yale University to complete his Masters Degree in Wood Engineering. Buddy began in Real Estate in 1974 and became a broker in 1978 when he established Buddy Gendrano Realty, Inc. Buddy was President of the Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii in 1994-1995. He also enjoys golf, chess and is an excellent guitarist.

Melga Gendrano came to Hawaii in 1969 on a scholarship grant from the East West Center. She completed her Masters Degree in Education in 1971. Melg's real estate career started in 1974 and she became a broker in 1981. Today, Melga focuses on property management. Melga has served as a Police Commissioner for the City and County of Honolulu and has been awarded numerous awards of recognition for her active leadership and volunteerism in the community.

Kevin is Buddy & Melga's only son. Born and raised in Honolulu, HI. A natural problem solver, he attended ITT Technical Institute and earned a degree in Network Systems Technology. From 1999-2006 he worked as a Systems Security and Network Admin for Washington States largest Credit Union, BECU. He has worked with numerous large scale projects, as a key role member in network administration, system integration, and information protection. Kevin loves working with people & technology and his strengths are in his genuine honesty and helpfulness to everyone.

Frances or "Fran", Buddy and Melga's eldest daughter, joined the company in 2003. Growing up with real estate and property managment, she's a natural relationship builder and multitasker. She attended Punahou school and then Boston College. She believes that quality service is the key to this business' success.

Cheryl Duque joined the company in July 2009. She got her real estate license in August 2006 and has experience in Accounting, Payroll, Property management and vacation rentals. She is currently the assistant to Broker Frances Gendrano in coordinating sales transactions. She enjoys baking and spending time with family in her spare time.

Zan is a graduate of Moanalua High School and has a BAS in Family Resources from the University of Hawaii. She has a very active and full life being a wife and mother of four keiki. For over 10 years, she has been a program coordinator for a prominent local PR agency as well as a marketing director for a non-profit theatre company. Her attention to detail and excellent people skills will help you find the home of your dreams.

Bill served in the U.S. Naval Submarine Force for 28 years. He was one of the crewmembers of the USS LOS ANGELES (SSN 688) that travelled from Newport News, Virginia to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. He retired from active duty after 28 years of loyal and faithful service to our country. After his service he used his GI Bill benefits and earned his Bachelors' Degree in Personnel Management at Wayland Baptist University. He continued his education and completed his Masters' Degree in Management at the University of Phoenix. He is currently employed at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard & IMF as a Logistics Management Specialist and at the same time a member of the KFG Properties, Inc. Ohana. With his vast military experience he can help any service member take advantage of their VA benefits in purchasing their home; as he has used his VA Loan benefit in acquiring his real estate rental business.
